Cleetus McFarland Acquires Pro Late Model to Refine Racing Abilities

Popular YouTube personality Cleetus McFarland, whose real name is Garrett Mitchell, has recently invested in a Pro Late Model. This acquisition is part of his ongoing effort to refine his racing capabilities, a decision reportedly encouraged by seasoned racers such as Dale Earnhardt Jr. Mitchell's new No. 33 Rette Jones Racing Pro Late Model was unveiled in a recent video, signaling his commitment to advancing his career within the NASCAR circuits by participating in additional late model competitions.

Following the purchase, Cleetus McFarland conducted an extensive testing session with his new vehicle at Tri-County Speedway. Despite a minor incident involving a spin, the test proved largely successful. He has articulated plans to compete in an upcoming late model race at Berlin Raceway in Michigan later this year. Additionally, he intends to utilize the car in the late model events he organizes at his own facility in Florida, the Freedom Factory, a 3/8-mile oval track.

McFarland expressed his enthusiasm for the Pro Late Model, highlighting its suitability for developing crucial racing acumen. He noted that these cars provide an excellent platform for gaining experience in close-quarters racing, which is essential for improving overall racecraft. This approach is perceived as a more cost-effective method for skill development compared to consistently racing in ARCA events, although he still plans to continue his participation in ARCA.

McFarland praised the car's superior handling and grip, finding it more manageable than other vehicles he has piloted previously. He emphasized that the car's power delivery allows for intense yet controllable driving, which he believes will significantly contribute to his development as a racer.
